    Brief of Zhaoming Temple

Zhaoming Temple, an ancient temple built 1700 years ago in the Liang Dynasty (502–587), is one of the top attractions of the East Tianmu Mountain scenic area. The temple was so named to commemorate Prince Zhaoming of the Liang Dynasty.

Surrounded by dense bamboo forests, the temple possesses an air of mystery. About the temple, what’s also worth noticing is that two colors, red and yellow are widely used to decorate the walls and roofs, which are symbolic with red representing good fortune and yellow the color of Loess Plateau, the original home of Chinese people.

The temple is a pure land of Buddhist culture, preserved from commercialization. In the temple, water, meals, accommodation and incense are all free of charge. People who come to the place can truly find inner peace.
