West Lake in Sidney David Gamble's Eyes 2017-05-11
Sidney David Gamble (1890 – 1968) was an economist, humanitarian and photographer who devoted himself to studying the economics of China. During his lifetime, he visited China for four extended periods, first in 1908, and then from 1917 to 1919, 1924 to 27 and 1931 to 1932. During this time, he took over 5,000 black-and-white photos and 30 films, capturing not only the architecture, people and scenery but events significant too. He is now best known for his remarkable and extensive photographs of China, which include ones that depict the West Lake.

Hangzhou’s Nine Landmarks Besides West Lake2017-08-22
Every city has its symbol with Beijing’s symbol being the Great Wall, Shanghai’s being Lujiazhui, Chengdu’s being the steaming-hot hot pot and Hangzhou’s being West Lake. But besides West Lake, there are other nine places that deserve to be symbols of Hangzhou.

Operas Take Center Stage in Hangzhou2017-08-22
For six years, the Hangzhou Contemporary Theater Festival has presented Hangzhou people with over 100 spectacular performances and 59 classical operas from all over the world. In the process, the festival has evolved into an important platform for international art and culture exchange. In 2017, the Hangzhou Contemporary Theater Festival will show once again its charm in Hangzhou from September 15 to 28.
