When asked what is the oldest creature in the world? Nine times out of ten most people would say the dinosaur. However, the oldest creature is actually the jellyfish which can be traced back to over 0.6 billion years ago. Jellyfish can be seen in seas all around the world and with mankind’s unceasing efforts to explore the mysterious ocean world, the life of the jellyfish gradually unravels before us.
From January 18 until March 4, why not journey into the “Ocean Spirits” Jellyfish Themed Exhibition on view in Zhejiang Science and Technology Museum in Hangzhou, where the mysterious life of the jellyfish awaits…
The exhibition displays not only a swamp of live jellyfish, but it also illustrates in a creative way the incredible features of jellyfish, teaching visitors all they need to know about this ancient creature. In addition, stories between jellyfish and mankind are also presented. The exhibition also strives to call on people to cherish the ocean resources and its environment.

In Jiande, there is an ancient town that has experienced thousands of years of wind and rain. It has a beautiful name called Meicheng (Plum Blossom Town). Meicheng was the state town of the then Yanzhou and is now the county town of Jiande. It has a history of 1700 years.
