Lingfeng Winter-sweet and Mume Blossom Show
Mume (includes winter-sweet and mume blossom), is a distinct flowering plant of China. It is related to both plum and apricot trees. Different from other flowering trees, it starts to flower in mid-winter, and the flower blooms most vibrantly during the time of the winter snow. Therefore, it is frequently depicted in Chinese art and poetry as a symbol of perseverance and hope.
Lingfeng(Ling Peak) is one of the three southeast China’s famous resorts for enjoying Winter-sweet and Mume Blossom. On its sprawling 12-hectare land are planted about 6,000 winter-sweet made up of 50 species. Every February when Mume flowers are in full bloom, a poular and awe-inspiring show boasts their delicate and colorful blooms. During this time, the air is heavy with the fragrance of Mume flower, while Lingfeng is surrounded by a kaleidoscope of colorful Mei flowers.
The annual time for picking Longjing green tea leaves, one of the top ten renowned teas of China, has begun in Hangzhou and everywhere tea farmers are now busy picking and hand frying the famous leaves. But now news is out that starting from May, the updated version of original Impression West Lake, “The most memorable is Hangzhou” will once again show its lakeside charm in becoming one of the most splendid performances on water.
