The red bayberries needed for this scrumptious June festival are all produced in Dujia Village which has a time-honored history in the cultivation of this delicious fruit.

As far back as 1,700 years ago, local people in Dujia Village began to grow red Bayberries. Those red bayberries were delicious, nutritious and of high medicinal and practical value. They gained their reputation during the Northern Song Dynasty and used to be the tribute to the emperors.
