Let Hangzhou Entertain You… 2017-05-11
Hangzhou is ready to entertain you with the 13th China Cartoon and Animation Festival which started on April 26 and will continue until May 1 in White Horse Lake Cartoon and Animation Square.

Hangzhou is not just a historical city that has proudly unfurled a long and glorious past, but it is also a cultural and creative city of which the cartoon and animation industry is an indispensable part. In addition to the main venue, White Horse Lake Cartoon and Animation Square, sixteen side venues will also be set up in Hangzhou downtown, covering five aspects (exhibition, forum, business, contest and entertainment) and including over 50 colorful activities.

China International Cartoon and Animation Festival

The cartoon and animation festival will continue to be guided by the slogan “A Feast of Cartoon and Animation, A Festival for all” and will focus on the annual theme “International Cartoon and Animation to Embrace the World.” By doing so, the festival has invited cartoon and animation related companies, organizations and institutions from 82 countries and regions.

1. Cartoon and Animation Themed Float Parade

Centering on the theme of “Hangzhou Move Towards the World”, and by combining floats and performance squads, the parade will demonstrate its wild characteristics.

2. China COSPLAY Super Ceremony Final
The China COSPLAY Super Ceremony Final has set up side competition venues in 26 cities in China, and nine overseas side competition venues in countries such as Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Portugal, the US, Switzerland, France, Singapore and Denmark. During the festival, the winning teams from these side competition venues will gather together in Hangzhou to go for the final and what’s more, you can be there to cheer them on.

3. “International Cartoon and Animation, Beautiful Villages” China International Comics Itinerant Exhibition
The traveling exhibition will be themed on “International Cartoon and Animation, Beautiful Villages” and guided by the theory of “Animate Comics”, the exhibition will display over 500 art pieces from 82 countries and regions. Cutting-edge display technologies and creative arranging methods will make the exhibition viewing experience even more interactive and enjoyable.

4. Exhibition of outstanding Cartoon and Animation Works from Both China and Abroad

Time: April 26 to May 1
Venue: Cinemas in Hangzhou

5. Others
In China Academy of Art, Zhejiang University of Media and Communication, Zhongbei Creative Block of Southern Song Imperial Street, Zhijiang Culture Creative Park, and Hangzhou Teenagers Activity Center, there will be a series of featured cartoon and animation themed activities.

Operas Take Center Stage in Hangzhou2017-08-22
