Xixi National Wetland Park Awarded “Ten Most Charming Wetlands in China” 2019-07-17

On 31 November, 2013, Xixi National Wetland Park was awarded to be one of “Ten Most Charming Wetlands in China” by the Awards Ceremony “Beautiful China, Charming Wetlands” organized by CCTV (China’s most influential television broadcaster) and State Forestry Administration of the PRC.

As the first national wetland park in China, Xixi National Wetland Park has not only abundant ecological resources and picturesque natural landscape, but also unique cultural heritage. The committee commented that “Xixi National Wetland Park represents the combination of urban wetland, farming wetland and cultural wetland. It’s a wonderland setting in a noisy urbanized world: both poetic and romantic. Since Eastern Jin Dynasty (317–420), it has witnessed many changes, but it retained its primitive and rustic charm of the past.”
