Wuzhen, Xitang and Hangzhou Three-Day Tour
Xitang Ancient Town, located at the junction of Jiangsu Province, Zhejiang Province and Shanghai City, is a Jiangnan ancient town with a history spanning more than a thousand years. Renowned for the ‘large number of bridges, alleys and galleries’, it is popular for directors who often choose to base their sets here for domestic and international films and TV series. For example, one of the signs at the ship bank was left behind by Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible III.

Hangzhou to Wuzhen

Distance: Approximately 80 kilometers

Driving time: 1.5 hour

14:30 Gather at Wuzhen Xizha Scenic Area, the representative area of Jiangnan ancient towns.

16:00 Xizha
Tour length: 2 hours

Xizha, located by the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, is made of twelve islands, and is accessible only by ferry. Here one can find well-preserved architectural delights dating back from Ming and Qing dynasties, slow river channels crisscrossing irregularly and 72 ancient stone bridges shaped in different patterns, presenting a typical Jiangnan-style water village.

18:00 Night tour of Xizha
Tour length: 2 hours

Touring Xizha at night is a different experience with its own charm. Cruising on the canals on a boat is the ideal way to find oneself mesmerized by the bright reflection of the town’s lights on the water. The magic of exploring during dark is in experiencing the splendidness and longstanding cultural legacy of the area.

Set off for Hangzhou, or ‘paradise on earth’ as it is known in China. When referred to together with Suzhou, their joint name is ‘Suhang, the counterpart of the heavens on earth’.
 
14:00 Xixi National Wetland Park
Tour Length: 2 hours

Xixi National Wetland Park, consisting of two parts, east district and west district, is the first and the only national wetland park in China that comprises of an urban wetland, agricultural wetland and cultural wetland. It covers a large area of 11.5 sq. km., seventy percent of which is dedicated to rivers, ponds, lakes, swamps and other water bodies. The production of the famous film "If You are the One" choose the area as the setting for its Hangzhou shoots, for its beautiful natural environment.

16:00 Hangzhou Song Dynasty Town Scenic Area
Tour length: 2 hours

Hangzhou Song Dynasty Town Scenic Area, located in the southwest region of West Lake Scenic Area, is the first and largest Song Dynasty culture theme park in China. It includes Qingming Festival (清明上河图) Representation Area, Jiulong Square Area, Song Dynasty Town Square Area, Celestial Mountain and Good Palace Area, Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Palace Area, Southern Song Dynasty Custom Garden, and other attractions. The most notable aspect of the park is the majestic song and dance production, Romance of Song Dynasty, so wonderful that it attracts people from all over China.

08:00 West Lake

Su Shi once wrote a poem as an ode to West Lake: “West Lake resembles Xishi, one of top four beauties in ancient China, and shows its beauty at the perfect points.” Consequently, the analogy spread afar and is widely used even now. Despite the many centuries that have passed, with many years of ups and downs, West Lake has still held on to her beauty, and smiles at everyone coming to visit her. On June 24th, 2011, it was honorably added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

10:00 Hefang Street
Tour length: 2 hours

Hefang Street used to be the most bustling business district in ancient Hangzhou, and now, it has become one of the most well-preserved old streets in Hangzhou. Visitors can expect to get a deep understanding of the olden times in the region just from making a visit to the street. There are more than a hundred shops selling tea, herbal medicine, silk, roasted seeds and nuts, snacks as well as antiques, and well-known names including Hu Qingyu Tang, a time-honored brand; Wang Xingji Fan Shop; Zhang Xiaoquan Scissor Shop; Wanrong Ham Shop; Fang Huichun Tang; and Zhuangyuan Restaurant line the street on both sides.

2017 Qiantang River Tidal Bore Watching Guideline2017-09-22
Qiantang River is the largest river in Zhejiang Province and empties itself into the Eastern China sea through Hangzhou Bay. The Qiangtang River tidal bore is a world-renowned spectacle and is reputed as the "No. 1 Tidal Bore in the World". The Qiantang River tidal bore, often reaching heights of three meters, results from the gravitational forces and the rotation of the earth, and the fact that Hangzhou Bay is shaped like a trumpet.

According to the news conference of 2017 Internatioanl (Hangzhou) Trail-walk Conference, this year’s trail-walk event will take place on October 28 in Jianggan Sports Center. Registration will be available for three days starting from September 28.
