3 Days Hangzhou and Mount Huang Tour
If West Lake is the landmark of Hangzhou then Mount Huang is the star attraction of Huangshan. With Hangzhou’s famous glistening masterpiece and Huangshan’s verdant hills not far apart then a three day tour of both cities is a must. The two cities may be distinct in character but what they do have in common is that they both offer you the chance to explore China at its best.

Day 1
West Lake
At 9 am leave the hotel and take a leisurely walk to the West Lake. First you will arrive at Lakeside No.1 Park. There is a pedestrian street where trees and flowers guide you towards the city’s famous musical fountain, which plays every one to two hours. Through this pedestrian street you will reach Lakeside No.6 Park.

Along Beishan Road are many traditional restaurants in which you can stop to have lunch.

After lunch continue to visit the West Lake. The Broken Bridge is a landmark you simply cannot afford to miss. According to legend a couple met on this bridge and got married. After Broken Bridge walk along Bai Causeway, which was rebuilt in the Tang Dynasty by the famous poet Bai Juyi.

When you reach Su Causeway you will be able to capture amazing views of the West Lake. Through the long Su Causeway you will not only appreciate the beauty and true nature of Hangzhou but you can also visit some of the famous Top Ten Views of the West Lake.

After the tour you will take a coach to Huangshan City where you will stay for one night.

Day 2
Mount Huang
After breakfast leave the hotel and take a coach to the scenic area of Mount Huang. Upon arrival buy entrance and cable car tickets and get ready to climb the mountain.

Mount Huang is both a World Cultural and World Natural Heritage. There are famous scenic spots like Tiandu Peak, Guest-Greeting Pine, Ladder in the Clouds, Yixiantian (a narrow and steep passage way between two rocks), Guangming Peak, Flying Stone and Paiyun Pavilion.

Tiandu Peak is in the Southeast of Mount Huang and it has a natural cave on its top. Although Tiandu is not the highest peak, it is definitely the most majestic and splendid of all in Mount Huang. The Guest-Greeting Pine, a famous Chinese pine tree often depicted in paintings, is named due to the fact that the pine tree stretches out its branch as if it is welcoming the visitors.

Hiking up the mountain will take approximately four hours. You can have your lunch and dinner on the mountain top and even stay in a mountain hotel for the night.

Day 3
Mount Huang-Hangzhou
To appreciate the true beauty of sunrise you may have to get up early but also the possibility of watching sunrise depends on weather conditions too.

After enjoying the view you will continue hiking. The following highlights are Lion Peak, Qingliang Platform, Stone Monkey Viewing the Sea and Shixin Peak. Lion Peak is shaped like a lying lion and is 1690 meters high. Qingliang Platform is a mountain-viewing platform where you can have a rest and enjoy the surrounding mountain-views.

After enjoying a mountain-side lunch in one of the restaurants you will descend to the place you originally started climbing which will take approximately three hours and then you will take a coach ride back to Hangzhou.
