Zhejiang Natural Museum

Zhejiang Natural Museum is one of few provincial natural and historical museums in China as well as one of the oldest museums built by the Chinese. The museum was constructed in 1929 and completed its renewal in July 2009.
There are about 150 thousand precious specimens that record the life experience of the earth. The museum exhibits the marvelous life exploration by further academic research and through vivid displays shows stories between human beings and nature.

China Knives, Scissors and Swords Museum

China Knives, Scissors and Swords Museum is built for publicizing, exploring and protecting the long-standing handcrafts of Knives, Scissors, Swords, umbrellas and fans, as well as for displaying and collecting traditional handcraft works.

In protecting intangible cultural heritages, the museum also explores the spiritual world behind the articles. For example, by reproducing the scene of casting swords as well as displaying a model of the casting process of bronze swords, it aims to help visitors to better understand the knowledge as well as to learn how hard it is to make high quality swords for swords craftsmen.


Zhang Taiyan Memorial Hall

Address: 1-2, Nanshan Road, Shangcheng District, Hangzhou


Zhang Taiyan is a renowned democratic revolutionist, ideologist and scholar on textology. Founded in January, 1988, Zhang Taiyuan Memorial Hall can be found at No.2 Nanshan Road on the northern side of Nanping Hill.
With a total area of 1900 square meters, of which 870 square meters is dedicated to the building itself, there are many works displayed in the hall, behind which you will find tombs of Zhangtaiyan and his wife.
