Previously, we have recommended a number of restaurants which have included those with amazing views and those with western and traditional Chinese menus. But what about family restaurants that focus solely on the children - well now it’s time to tickle those tiny taste buds with the following three recommendations.
Mama smile is the first family themed restaurant in Hangzhou. It features a snow white façade with vibrant yellow and white decorations inside. It is a loft style restaurant that has been decorated to resemble a kindergarten. Entertainment facilities in the restaurant include a BOBO ocean ball pool, slide and sand pit. The warm yellow restaurant is filled with child-like memories, offering both parents and children the taste of what’s to come.
The restaurant can hold birthday parties for children on its second floor, which can accommodate 30 people at one time. As this is a child-parent themed restaurant, children’s safety is the number one priority. Even the toilets and wash basins are of miniature proportions. Food here is of a western flavor and what’s great is that parents get to have their own menu and children do too.

Bistro Restaurant is one of the most popular family style restaurants in Beijing and Shanghai and a favorite venue for birthday parties too. Now, it has opened its very first branch in the Kerry Center, the new landmark of Hangzhou. Walking into the restaurant you will be pleasantly greeted by its beautiful balcony where various tropical fruits and flowers are planted. At one corner of the balcony there are wooden rocking horses and an amusement zone piled high with a variety of outdoor toys.
The spacious and bright VIP room is an ideal choice for any child throwing a birthday party and furthermore, the restaurant will hold regular child-parent baking classes. The food in Bistro is a mix of German and American style and what’s more is it also sells high-end baby and maternal products most of which are imported from abroad. So, after a satisfying meal there is literally no need to step any further…

DC Super Hero Themed Restaurant
This is a superhero western restaurant authorized by American Warner Brothers and launched in Hangzhou’s Kerry Center just two months ago. Everything in the restaurant from its environment and decoration to its cutlery and dishes are all branded with superheroes.
The restaurant consists of two zones, one is the themed restaurant and the other is a shop selling superhero related products. The menu consists mainly of western food and includes spaghetti, pizza, hamburger and steak. Various types of set menus are available and there are also special menus just for children. If you wish to be a hero for the day then this is a super place to begin.
