Breeze Through Hangzhou's Summer Months... 2017-06-27
To escape the sweltering heat this summer then head to the ice and snow world, which has recently opened in Xiushui Street in Thousand-islet Lake. After two months of continuous construction, the heavily invested (over 5,000,000 RMB) Thousand-islet Lake Polar Region Ice and Snow World now shows us how to breeze through the hottest months.

The Polar Region Ice and Snow World covers an area of 1000 sq m and consists of five exhibition zones (Frozen, Thousand-islet Lake Underwater Ancient City, Kong Fu Panda, Merry Submarine and Welcome G20) and one interactive zone. Inside the interactive zone are a number of cool things to get yourself stuck into such as the ice sculpture DIY zone, ice slide ways zone, ice wine zone, ice dodgems and ice roller coaster.

What is also worth mentioning is that the Thousand-islet Lake Polar Region Ice and Snow World welcomes 12 world-famous ice sculptors to create on the spot masterpieces which, enhanced by colorful lights, provide spectators with a unique and artistic insight into the world of ice.

Ice Sculpture Exhibition is themed on the traditional culture of Chun’an which includes elements such as the scenery of Thousand-islet Lake, Underwater Ancient City, Bullet Train and G20 Summit.  It is through these ice sculptures that visitors can learn all about Chun’an traditional culture but in a fun and very cool way.

The ice and snow world opens every day from 09:00 to 20:30, however for safety reasons a maximum of 100 visitors are only admitted at a time. Please also note that the inside temperature of the ice and snow world is -7 degrees and therefore visitors are required to wear winter coats which are provided by the ice and snow world.
