Registration for 2016 Thousand-islet Lake Spring Cycling Event Begins 2019-06-10
Spring is a season for witnessing verdant leaves sprout and colorful flowers bloom and is, for some, also viewed as the best time to enjoy cycling. This is particularly true for places rich in breathtaking scenery, fresher than fresh air and well-equipped cycling routes and in Hangzhou there is one place which fits this description perfectly – Thousand-islet Lake.

Thousand-islet Lake scenic area, located in the western suburban area of Hangzhou City, is the first group of national key scenic areas in China and is one of the AAAAA scenic areas (the highest-level in China). With more than a thousand islets scattered among its 573 SQ (sq) km water area, Thousand-islet Lake is blessed with a superb natural environment and is full of ever enchanting scenery.

Receiving millions of tourists every year Thousand-islet Lake is, without any doubt, a thriving location and with the lake’s greenway and facilities for self-drive and cycling being put to good use - cycling enthusiasts from all over the world continue to be attracted here for the pure joy of cycling.

In 2015 the Thousand-islet Lake received more than 5000 cycling enthusiasts and it is estimated that over one hundred companies/organizations will be participating in this year’s grand event. If you would also like to take part in this spring event then simply read on…

1. Participants need to be 18 years old and over, healthy and equipped for cycling events.
2. ID is required in order to make sure that the registration information is in accordance with that of the participant.
3. Participants should bring their own bicycles (equipped with tail light) and professional cycling gear and helmets are also required.
4. Fee for the Cycling Event: 100 RMB (which includes insurance, Thousand-islet Lake Cruise and souvenirs).
5. Fee for Camping (reservation is needed): 80 RMB (which includes tent, moisture-proof pad, sleeping bag, hot shower, WIFI, campsite KTV).
6. The Organizing Committee of 2016 Thousand-islet Lake Spring Cycling Event reserves the right of final explanation.
