Xiaoshan Aims to Build a Hundred Millions-level Tourist Resort 2018-05-02
Recently Xianghu Lake Tourist Resort has been listed into the first national-level resort. Now Xiaoshan District is trying to develop Xianghu Lake into a hundred billions-level tourist resort and in return to make contribution to the upgrade of Xiaoshan District.


In 2006 and 2011, the first and second construction stage of Xianghu Lake Tourist Resort was respectively completed and put into operation. Now the third construction stage is on going with investment of about 30 billion RMB and is expected to open in September next year. After the three stages of construction, another 30 billion RMB will be invested. By 2020 the resort will become a hundred billions-level tourist resort.
 

Xianghu Lake is a nestling zone for Zhejiang province’s modern service industry and among the ten major provincial tourism development zones.

By now, Xianghu Lake Tourist Resort has multiple functions as a geomantic treasure land. It has four 4A level tourist attractions including Xianghu Lake Scenic Area, Hangzhou Paradise Park(杭州乐园), Hangzhou Ocean Park, Oriental Cultural Park, and some 5 star hotels. In addition, it also has other excellent cultural and tourist resources such as Kuahuqiao Relics Museum and Legend of Wu Yue Romance(吴越千古情).

High-quality tourist products generate considerable economic benefit for Xiaoshan District. According to data, Xianghu Lake Tourist Resort received 8.4835 million visitors in the first half year of 2015 and achieved the gross tourism revenue of 10.981 billion RMB.
