29 July 2015 will witness the 125th anniversary of Vincent Van Gogh’s Death. Following the huge success of the exhibition in Shanghai, Singapore, Turkey, US, Israel, Chile, Italy and Russia, the ‘Van Gogh Alive- The Experience’ will be staged at the Hangzhou Creative Design Center to give adults and children an unforgettable multi-sensory encounter. The exhibition will be on display from October 1, 2015 to January 3, 2016.
Despite being afflicted by poverty and sickness during most of his lifetime, Van Gogh’s work presents his colorful and sensitive inner world that weaves itself out in his paintings, and to fully demonstrate the features of Van Gogh’s paintings, new and expressive visual technologies have been employed.
Breaking the norm of traditional museum and art gallery numbers, the exhibition boasts of 3000 Van Gogh images on display at an enormous scale, presented on giant screens, ceilings, walls, columns and the floors with the accompaniment of vibrant music. Instead of tiptoeing and viewing from afar, visitor can view the paintings close up and intimately. Photographs and videos show augmented versions of his work to enable visitors to better explore sources of his inspiration.

In order to improve the high-speed railway connection system and promote the construction of scenic areas in the whole region, Qiandao Lake opened its direct tourist buses to rural scenic areas on July 1. That is to say, people who are at the Qiandao Lake High-Speed Railway Station can take these buses directly to such rural scenic areas as the Xiajiang Village Scenic Area, the Shilin Scenic Area and the Jiangjia Scenic Area. These three routes pass through Fengshuling Town, Lishang Township, Shilin Town, Jieshou Village and Jiangjia Town. It will be more convenient for tourists to reach these scenic areas.
