There’s Something in the Air 2017-06-27
For decades cars have dominated every aspect of our daily lives but something in the air leads us to believe this situation may change in the future. It is only a matter of time before planes take off as the main means of transportation and entertainment. This spring the changes have already begun and on April 8 Ningbo, in Zhejiang province, witnessed the opening of the first private plane 5S Shop (5s respectively referring to sales, survey, spare parts, service and supplements) and March 29 also saw the successful trail flight of Thousand Island Lake’s sightseeing helicopter.

Fun in Thousand-islet Lake

Sightseeing by helicopter has been promoted by Mona Hong of the General Aviation Corporation. The project which aims to provide its passengers a different level of sightseeing has helped to spread Thousand-islet Lake’s tourism from its tranquil scenic waters on the ground to up high in the sky.

The project is officially scheduled to take off in May and will offer tourists not only a panoramic view of the fabulous Thousand-islet Lake but will also promote love in the air by offering to shoot wedding photos too.

The helicopters are R44 Raven II and are produced by American Robinson Helicopter Co. which is known for its high performance and reliability. The helicopters can take three passengers at a time and the cabins are equipped with leather seats and air conditioning. Flying 500 meters high in the air offers tourists the ride of their lives and scaling new heights not only broadens one’s horizons but spectacular visions too.

More to Come

This summer, before June, Zhoushan Island has arranged planes to take passengers to roam up high in the clouds. These planes, designed by American Cessna Aircraft Company, can both take off and land on water and are able to accommodate nine passengers at one time. The planes serve both transport and tourism purposes and so far the routes of four tourism lines and four transport lines have been confirmed with more to come in future months.
