China Grand Canal Temple Fair 2014 2019-07-16
The 2014 China Grand Canal Temple Fair will be held in Hangzhou from Oct.18-21. This event will be the first tourist banquet integrated with various acrobatics shows, delicacies, snacks and intangible cultural heritage demonstrations.

As one of the highlights of the 16th West Lake International Expo Hangzhou China (17/10/2014-7/11/2014), the Grand Canal Temple Fair will set up one major venue nearby the Gongchen Bridge and two branch venues in Tangqi Water Town and West Lake Cultural Square.

The Grand Canal Temple Fair will hold series of thematic activities such as prayer ritual, chanting cruise, vegetarian food fairs, intangible cultural heritage fair, Grand Canal cuisine exchange summit, cultural creative fair,etc. About 300 fair stalls will be present. For the convenience of experiencing all those canal activities, a water tour line will be opened. By then, visitors can take water bus to stroll through the four-day temple fair.

The 2014 China Grand Canal Temple Fair will be officially opened with the prayer ritual at 9:00 am on Oct.18. Themed with “Human and Nature in Harmony”, this prayer ritual will pray for good weather next year and prosperous development of the country. Another must-see activity is the feast of Grand Canal COSPLAY, a parade of 18 decorated boats, representing the 18 Grand Canal tourism promotion cities.

Speical Rural Scenic Area Tourist Bus is in Operation2019-07-15
Good News! In order to improve the high-speed railway connection system and promote the construction of scenic areas in the whole region, Qiandao Lake opened its direct tourist buses to rural scenic areas on July 1. That is to say, people who are at the Qiandao Lake High-Speed Railway Station can take these buses directly to such rural scenic areas as the Xiajiang Village Scenic Area, the Shilin Scenic Area and the Jiangjia Scenic Area. These three routes pass through Fengshuling Town, Lishang Township, Shilin Town, Jieshou Village and Jiangjia Town. It will be more convenient for tourists to reach these scenic areas.
