Viewing Mume Blossom at Chaoshan Hill 2017-06-27

Chaoshan Hill, literally means a hill surpassing all the hills around in Chinese, has been known as one of China’s top three resorts for enjoying mume blossoms. It’s located in Tangqi Ancient Town, 29 kilometers northeast of Hangzhou. The best-known blossoms in Chaoshan Hill can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty (618–907) and the Song Dynasty (960-1279).

The 6th Chaoshan Plum Festival kicked off on 19th January, 2014 and lasts until late March 2014. During the period, wintersweet, Japanese apricot, red plum and green rose etc will compete for beauty. Tourists may go from Hangzhou to Chaoshan Hill by bus. From 19th January to 2rd February, there are free buses taking you to Chaoshan Hill in Huanglong Tourist Center. The bus departs in Huanglong Tourist Center at 8:30 am and returns at 4 pm from Tangqi Ancient Town and stops in Chaoshan Hill.
