Brief of Chaoshan Hill Scenic Area

29 kilometers northeast of Hangzhou stands a hill covered in a sea of mume blossom, which since the Tang Dynasty (619-907) has captured the hearts of many spring holidaymakers.

With the name Chaoshan Hill, literally meaning a hill surpassing other hills, it is no wonder that it is higher than all the hills around. Not only recognised as one of China’s top three resorts for enjoying mume blossom, Chaoshan Hill is also home to two ancient mume trees, whose roots date back to the Tang (618-907) and Song (960-1279) dynasties.
