Brief of Myth Café
There's a number of good reasons why Myth Café is so well-loved by a large contingent of expats. First of all, this venue has a lot of history, since it was one of the earliest pioneers offering a western menu that didn't feature fake facsimiles of foods. Secondly, it's easy to lose yourself for a good couple of hours there, maybe longer if you tote a book you've been dying to read with you, or you've brought along your PC and decided to make use of Myth's Wi-Fi connection.
Myth Café has been treating us right for many years now, and they continue to do so with items on the menu like the English breakfast (45RMB) which definitely hits the spot, Wiener Schnitzel (40RMB), Rainer's Bratwurst (48RMB), and a delicious Tomato Soup (12RMB) that completed the picture nicely. For hot days, assorted fruit smoothies (at assorted prices) will do the trick too. They've got a selection of Penfolds for 238RMB/bottle, long drinks and most of bottled beer are around 25RMB - 30RMB. In addition, they also have a September 20% off special for all imported beers, but this offer is only valid on Fridays and Saturdays, which is really all the reason in the world to revisit Myth if you've not been there in a while, or check it out for the first time if you're new in town. English menu available, parking is on the road side.
