The Liangzhu archeological site is one of the most fundamental in China and the culture it has unearthed has also played a significant role in the development of Chinese culture. Built on this impressive site is the Liangzhu National Relics Park which is positioned in a suburban area north of Hangzhou city in Liangzhu and Pingyao Town.
